INTRODUCTION:

Water is a chemical substance with the chemical composition of two atoms of Hydrogen and one of oxygen making up one molecule.

A water molecule contains one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms connected by covalent bonds. Water is a liquid at ambient conditions,

but it often co-exists on Earth with its solid state, ice, and gaseous state (water vapor or steam). Water also exists in a liquid crystal state near hydrophilic surfaces. Under nomenclature used to name chemical compounds, Dihydrogen monoxide is the scientific name for water, though it is almost never used.

In Nigeria, Water Business has become one of the most essential Commodities for the survival of lives, occupying abut 70% of the earth's crust. Safe Drinking water in Nigeria is very scarce, hence the need for purifying water to W.H.O and NAFDAC standards, in order to fit the requirements for safe drinking water for human and animal consumption in Nigeria.

A standard water-bottling factory follows Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) which applies sound water treatment technique(s) and procedures to purify and clean the natural water and applies approved packaging system to ‘pack’ the water  for consumer safety and use.
